Help us make race day brilliant for everyone 🙌

  • Meeting point: Andover High Street — you can’t miss us!
  • Back Cyclists: Start 08:30 on Half courses and collect the signs
  • Back Walker: Start 09:30 on 10km courses and collect the signs

What you'll do

We need friendly faces to help marshal the course, run water stations, welcome runners and cheer at the finish. No experience needed — we’ll brief you on the day and pair you up if needed.

You can only start 'station pack-up" once the back walker/cyclist team passes your station. 

Volunteer roles

Registration desk

07:00–08:30

Check runners in, hand out numbers, and answer quick questions.

  • Slots: 6
  • Min. age: 16+

Course marshal

08:00–11:00

Guide runners at key junctions and cheer them on. WhatsApp support provided.

  • Slots: 12
  • Min. age: 16+

Water station

08:00–12:00

Set up cups, hand out water and keep the area tidy.

  • Slots: 6
  • Min. age: 12+ with adult

Finish line & medals

09:10–13:00

Hand out medals, water and direct runners to the recovery area.

  • Slots: 6
  • Min. age: 12+ with adult

Back Cyclist– Half-marathon

08:30–~11:00

Cycle behind the last runners on the half course and collect signage as you go.

  • Slots: 2

Back walker – 10km

09:30–~11:00

Walk behind the last runners on the 10km course and collect signage as you go.

  • Slots: 2

Volunteer T‑shirt

What to wear

Required

You’ll need to wear the official volunteer T‑shirt or Hi-vis for your shift. Pick it up at the 06:00 check‑in along with your hi‑vis. Keep warm layers underneath and comfy shoes.

  • Sizes XS–XXL available or Hi-vis- Please return after use

FAQs

Do I need prior experience?

Nope! We’ll brief you on the day and pair you up if needed.

Can under-18s help?

Yes, with a parent/guardian. We’ll place you together.

What should I bring?

Warm layers, comfy shoes and a charged phone.

Do I have to wear the volunteer T‑shirt?

Yes — the T‑shirt is required for all volunteers and will be provided at check‑in.
